Wilson Golf History

Founded in 1914, Wilson Golf is now entering its 106th year of operation.

Its clubs have been used in 61 major tournament wins.
Wilson clubs have been consistently used in the victories of some of the most storied professional golfers to ever play the game.

Since the company's founding, it has hired legendary golfers and tournament pros to its advisory staff for creating new products.

The sand wedge developed by Wilson in the 1930s
with a bounce angle on its sole would become the prototype for the modern sand wedge.

The current Wilson Advisory Staff includes not only tournament pros but also instructors and golf enthusiasts.

We at Wilson continue to pursue products that allow everyone to increase their enjoyment of golf.

The PROSTAFF Putter that debuted in 2016 is being reintroduced with a new look. It features a choice of three heads (pin, mallet, and neo-mallet) along with a plastic insert in its face which allows golfers to putt with a lighter touch and a smoother stroke.

BLADE (pin type): A shallow center of gravity and small moment of inertia make this head easy to use.

SHIELD (mallet type): This head's deep center of gravity pushes the ball away after impact, producing good rotation.

HORN (neo-mallet type): The high moment of inertia of this head minimizes the effects of varying the contact point, which in turns improves accuracy.

Two-Color Finish

Using a different color for the face and back emphasizes the top line and makes it easier to send the ball where you want to. In addition, an alignment line is provided in the direction of the face/back to make hitting your stroke a breeze.

Zinc Head

The zinc head is soft and readily absorbs vibrations, which makes striking the ball feel lighter.

Face Insert

A plastic insert in the face further improves the club's soft feel.
Small depressions in the surface of the insert also reduce the area that contacts the ball, making the putter feel even more gentle.
