Length extended by 0.25 in. while maintaining smash factor
The updated version inherits the single-length design of the first FW. Distance improved by increasing length by a quarter-inch while keeping smash factor the same!

Enlarged Head
- Designing the head to have a low and deep center of gravity increased the sweet spot to achieve higher trajectories.
- Rebound performance was improved by making the face 0.05 millimeters thinner. Gun Metallic was used for the head color to make it appear bigger and eliminate pressure.

- SURE DD 2.0 FW
The length of the club increased, but it doesn't feel difficult to use.
Designed for ease of swing
After creating and testing several prototypes, we determined that a swing balance of C8 would make swinging the club feel easiest and most natural.
With a single-length design, merely matching the length and weight to a typical swing balance is not correct. The balance must be designed to match the golfer's mind and sense of body.
Designed to feel light
Total weight was reduced by 12 g with the R shaft,
10 g with the SR shaft,
and 11 g with the S shaft.
• The head was lightened to match the swing balance.
• The grip is 5 grams lighter than the previous version.
• Uses the newly developed EURUS G6 FW shaft.
Incorporates a keel sole
This third-generation keel sole was modeled after the bottom of a boat, which is designed to cut through water and maintain a straight course.
Designed for better accuracy and follow-through
The sole is designed to be smoother and easier to follow-through with than normal fairway clubs in situations that are prone to missing, such as deep rough, fairway bunkers, bare ground, and inclines.
- Three ribs reduce the area that contacts the ground (even on inclines) and improves follow-through.
- By increasing the height of the ribs from the previous version, we further reduced the surface area that contacts the ground.
Incorporates a beveled sole
Adding an appropriately sized bevel to the leading edge reduces misses and allows for a smooth follow-through, even in the highly resistant grass of Japan.
- Sole is rounded from toe to heel so that the head can clear the ground easily in a variety of lie situations
- A bevel smoothly connects the sharp leading edge to the sole. This makes it more difficult for the club to bite into the ground even after a duff and makes the face stand out less when addressing the ball.
A uniform strike point
All the clubs have been designed with a uniform relationship between the shaft axis and the strike point, making it easier to swing with the same timing.
- With normal fairway woods, loft is increased by laying the face of the club down in relation to the top edge, which increases the distance between the shaft axis and the impact point.
- We designed the SURE DD 2.0 FW so that the ball's point of impact is identical for all clubs.
- Only a single-length design like this can allow the player to use the same swing with precisely the same timing for the 3W, 5W, and 7W.
The loft of each club is designed so that its face rotates around the ball's contact point in the front-back direction.
Successive loft and lie angles
Lie angle increases and loft angle is more hooked on the 3W end, which has a more vertical loft which is harder to grab.

Successive shaft cuts
The shafts are cut successively so that the tip of the club will flex to make the ball go higher as club size increases up to the 3W, which has a more vertical loft.
As seen in the image on the right, the distance between the grip and the Mizuno logo gradually increases going from the 3W to the 7W, which makes the 3W have the largest easy-to-bend section in the tip.
This makes it easier to hit the ball higher as club size increases up to the 3W.
